We are a graphic design faction compelled by an insufferable interest in art and culture. We believe in design’s ability to elevate and even immortalise what it supports, and that it should support the right things. Our approach is never merely pharmaceutical, and our works hardly just novel.

We love transforming briefs into stimulating concepts and expressive graphic design that meets the needs and goals of our clients, responding to the demands of the ever-changing market of today.

Our approach

While each project that we take on differs from each other, the studio’s overall creative process and guiding philosophy is similar. We strive to approach each project with an inquisitive and curious mind.

The development of a strong concept through in-depth research which gives us an intimate understanding of the subject matter forms the core of our design process for every project. This is so that the visual outcomes develop appropriately and sensitively out of the careful consideration of each project’s unique needs and objectives, as well as the clients’ needs and constraints. For us, it is never about the wow-factor but what is appropriate, necessary and feasible.

Our core beliefs
Research

Research is an integral part of our design process. For every project, we actively engage ourselves with the subject matter in order to consider all the possibilities from multiple points-of-view. We firmly believe that this would allow us to develop well-considered and sensitive solutions that emerge from the content.

Culture as capital

As a team, we deeply appreciate the value of culture in a society. Through shared stories and values, culture provides a community with a sense of identity and is the deep, emotional connection that binds people together.

Most importantly, we see how culture―through the medium of design―may be used as capital for businesses and organisations to connect and resonate with their audiences on a deeper level.

Concept, aesthetics
and function

In our opinion, a successful piece of design is the convergence of concept, aesthetics and function. Design is not a practice that exists in and for itself; it is an intellectual, creative and purposeful one that is carried out with sensitivity and intention. This is why we never develop the aesthetics for every project out of a void. Instead, we allow the subject matter to inform and guide us in the art direction.

With concept, aesthetics and function as its key ingredients, a piece of design will not only be able to communicate and appeal. It will also emotionally engage and intellectually stimulate the audience.
