“Every particular in nature, a leaf, a drop, a crystal,
a moment of time is related to the whole,
and partakes of the perfection of the whole.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson

Geok Eng Asset Management, GEAM for short, is a subsidiary of Keng Soon Group whose iconic logo prominently features a large tree. To subtly make reference to the tree motif found in the parent company, the visual identity we developed for GEAM uses a dark forest green as its corporate colour and also makes use of a leaf—the basic unit of the tree—as the primary visual motif. In close observation of a leaf, the complex system that exists within it makes it a microcosm of the entire tree. This idea of the parts that make the whole reinforces how, in a family business, individual members make the company, just as each subsidiary makes the entire family corporation. This is also what lends GEAM, a subsidiary of Keng Soon Group, its strength, reputation and credibility.

The leaf shape is used as a modular unit to create distinctive and iconic graphic motif for the logo mark. When tiled into a pattern, this graphic motif becomes reminiscent of the crystal structure of crystals and gemstones, therefore, reference back to the namesake homophone, gem.

Looking specifically within the graphic motif, four of the leaves would combine to form a circular sub-motif that embody the cyclical framework applied in the management of assets so that the entrusted investments may yield healthy returns.

As a reputable asset management company, the name card has been chosen to be luxuriously printed with silver foil stamp on Colorplan Racing Green.
